Goal 3: Expand Educational, Community, and Business Partnerships

SGSC aims to position itself as a regional leader by strengthening outreach to K–12 schools, adult learners, and military-connected populations while expanding experiential learning.

Alignment with USG Goal 4: This supports USG’s focus on community collaboration and regional impact, ensuring that educational institutions act as engines of economic development and social mobility.

Objective 3.1: Brand the institution as a community partner through a comprehensive enrollment and marketing plan.
Metrics:
•    By 2026, implement an enrollment and marketing plan focused on the region.
•    Enrollment will increase by 2% annually through 2029.

Objective 3.2: Increase recruitment of adults, military-connected personnel, and residential and underrepresented populations through partnerships with regional business and industry.
Metrics:
•    Target population applicants will increase by 2% annually through 2029.

Objective 3.3: Increase the number of dual enrollment students by creating and strengthening relationships with regional school systems.
Metrics:
•    Dual Enrollment participants will increase by 5% by 2029.

Objective 3.4: Support the implementation of the college’s quality enhancement plan.
Metrics:
•    By 2029, 50% of the student body will have engaged in experiential learning activities.
•    Student satisfaction with experiential learning will reach 85% by 2029.
