Goal 5: Support Infrastructure & Technological Resources

SGSC plans to modernize facilities and classroom technology to support effective instruction and learning environments.

Alignment with USG Goal 2: This reflects USG’s goal of enhancing affordability and operational efficiency through resource optimization and strategic investment in infrastructure.

Objective 5.1: By maximizing available resources, including USG, state, and federal funding, invest wisely in campus facilities.
Metrics:
•    By 2029, use the full allocation of state-appropriated funds for major repairs and renovations.

Objective 5.2: Create a plan to standardize and refresh classroom technology and equipment to support learning environments. Make improvements and upgrades according to the plan as funding is available.
Metrics:
•    By 2026, establish a baseline by measuring instructor satisfaction with the learning environment and IT, then create a plan that addresses feedback.
•    Request annual funding to support the plan.
•    Conduct annual review and revision of the plan.
