Entry Program FAQs

The SGSC entry program is offered at Valdosta State University. This program prepares students for transfer as a sophomore to VSU. Students enrolled can participate in campus life with access to academic resources and extracurricular activities available to VSU students. Entry program students have the opportunity to complete any learning support requirements and required high school curriculum deficiencies, while earning a 30 credit hours in the University System of Georgia core curriculum. The core curriculum courses are designed to fit most programs of study, and the core curriculum credits transfer to any institution in the University System of Georgia. Students must have a 2.0 or higher grade point average to be eligible for transfer.

Entrance requirements are the same as for all campus locations of SGSC. See details at /admissions/admissions

Each semester the entry programs have informational, face-to-face or virtual workshops designed to prepare eligible students for a smooth transfer to these institutions. Topics covered are admissions, financial aid, student housing and student activities. Students must have earned 30 credit hours and have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher in order to transfer.
