  • Tutor.com is an online tutoring service offered to students free of charge. This service is available online 24/7. Tutor.com is accessible through your GeorgiaView account. Learn more about Tutor.com!

If tutoring is needed outside these hours, we offer appointments to accommodate our students.  Please contact a Center Coordinator for more information or to schedule an appointment.

Note: Students visiting the Centers must sign in and out every time they receive tutoring or utilize the center’s resources. Please ask the tutor or available staff member if assistance is needed with signing in or out.

 

 

 

 

STEM Center Coordinator: Douglas Campus

 Andrew Williams began his career as a student at SGSC, formerly South Georgia College. During his attendance, he became a member of the Environmental Awareness Club which steered his interest to the science fields. After earning an AA in Early Childhood Education, he transferred to Valdosta State University completing a BS in Biology with honors. He then returned to SGSC to work as the Biology Lab Instructor and finally STEM Center Coordinator. He now coordinates STEM tutoring and aids in the development of STEM activities.

Favorite Subjects: Entomology, Wildlife Diseases, and Neuroscience.

STEM Center Coordinator: Waycross Campus

Sarah Braswell first started as a dual enrollment student at South Georgia College, now SGSC. While attending South Georgia, she worked as a peer tutor for the Academic Success department until she graduated in 2007 with an AS in Biology. After South Georgia, Sarah went on to attend Middle Georgia State University where she earned a BS in Biology. In 2011, she returned to South Georgia to work as Head Tutor and instructor of the SGSC 1000 course.  Sarah later went on to pursue an MS in Biology with a concentration in Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics at Georgia Southern University. After GSU, she taught in China for a year, and then she returned to SGSC to serve as STEM Center Coordinator and Academic Success Supervisor for the Waycross campus.
