Feb. 4: SGSC Hawks Claims Victory Over Emmanuel JV In Blow-Out Fashion, 13-5

The South Georgia State College (SGSC) Hawks sailed to an easy victory over Emmanuel JV, 13-5, Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020. SGSC took the lead with six runs in the fifth inning. Clayton Smith homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, Tony Player was struck by a pitch, driving in a run. Christian Campbell was hit by a pitch, again driving in a run and Jackson Howell was then struck by a pitch, driving in a run.

SGSC racked up 17 hits. JR Lonon, Smith, and Jared Martin each collected two hits for the Hawks. The rest of the hits came by Kody Krause, Howell, Walker Sinclair, JT Rice, Kristian Navarro, Tyler Deloach, Brandon Redd, Anthony Calabro, Greg Wozniak, Cole Gregory and Matthew Warren, each contributing one.

Grant Adams started the game for the Hawks. He surrendered two runs on two hits over two innings, striking out three. Chantz Cruz was the winning pitcher. He surrendered zero runs on one hit over one inning, striking out two and walking zero.
