A Special Message from President Ingrid Thompson-Sellers

The recent tragic events involving Ahmaud Arbery and George Floyd have left our nation in a state of confusion and despair. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Arbery and Floyd families and everyone who is hurting at this time. Unfortunately, our current reality has been formed from the climate resulting from these tragedies as well as COVID-19.

You may be facing challenges currently, or, perhaps, you may have encountered feelings of fear, confusion, or hopelessness. Please know you are a part of the Hawk Nation, and no Hawk flies alone!

We are here to support you during these difficult times. Please ensure that you remain safe and healthy this summer. Continue to practice social distancing, wash and sanitize your hands as often as possible, and I encourage you to wear a mask when you’re out in public.
