Welcome from the Director:
On behalf of the men and women of the South Georgia State College Police Department, I would like to welcome you to the SGSC Campus Police webpage. We hope that this site improves communication by keeping you informed of safety topics pertinent to the campus community as we attempt to provide quality service to our student body and employees It is our hope that you find this site informative and responsive to your needs. 

The talented men and women of this agency share a dedication and passion to serve our student body, staff, and faculty.  Our police and security teams are professionals committed to service and protection.  There is tremendous value placed on the relationships our officers have built with the student and staff community they serve. We understand that the balanced delivery of policing that consists of prevention, intervention and enforcement. 

Although members of our department are intricately involved in improving campus safety, we realize that our ability to be effective is dependent on good rapport with our “citizens” and a cooperative approach to problem solving.  Therefore, it is my goal, and the goal of every member of this Department, to raise the bar of behavior on our campus.  I encourage each of you to become partners in achieving this goal.  By working together, we can ensure that SGSC remains a safe haven for learning, living, working, and playing.
