Douglas Campus Georgia Rooms Collections
Location: The Georgia Rooms are located in connecting rooms 131-132 in the northwest corner of William S. Smith Library. Because of the irreplaceable nature of the material in these rooms, the collections are locked and only open for browsing and use with prior approval from a library staff member.
Book Collection Highlights: The Georgia Rooms include first editions, limited printings, autographed, and rare publications. The primary focus of the collection is college records, Georgia authors, as well as local community and Georgia history. This collection also contains materials of interest to scholars of Native American history, theology, agriculture, geography, and environmental studies. Manuscript Collection Highlights: The manuscript collection documents college history, manuscripts from local authors, and the notes from local researchers.

Waycross Campus Okefenokee Swamp and Bay Leaf Collections
Location: The non-circulating Swamp Collection is located in the locked glass display case adjacent to the video collection and the Reference shelving. A smaller Special Collection is also shelved in the locking glass cabinet. The Swamp and Special Collection materials must be retrieved by library staff.
Book Collection Highlights: The Swamp Collection consists of books, photographs, slides and a variety of other materials covering the Okefenokee Swamp. The smaller Special Collection consists of rare editions of books and historical information about Waycross. Locating material in the catalog: The collection is listed in the GILFind @ SGSC catalog.
